BISEN LTD EXPLORES COLLABORATIVE OPPORTUNITIES IN UAE

22 May 2015

BISEN Ltd visited the United Arab Emirates between 19-22 May 2015 to explore where the group could offer partnerships for market applications of its broad technology base and capabilities. The visit was supported by HM Government meetings with UK Trade and Investment, Defence and Security Organisation and the Royal Navy.

BISEN Ltd’s representatives Nick MacLeod-Ash and Mark Thistlethwaite and AgustaWestland’s representative David Francis joined a well attended reception organised by the British Business Group http://britishbusiness.org/mission/ at which the guest speaker, Sheikh Nahyan bin Mubarak Al Nahyan, emphasised the importance to the UAE of the warm relationship with UK and encouraged more collaborative work together.

On this first visit, meetings with Al Fattan and its Joint Ventures, with Jalboot and with private companies indicated that the BISEN approach could open collaborative opportunities for complete capabilities in maritime, energy and security. Consequently BISEN is considering working with UK TO to take demonstrations to UAE in Q4 2015 (to coincide with the Yas Island F1 Grand Prix) and Q1 2016 (1-5 March for the Dubai Boat Show) and to work towards opportunities for the World Expo in Dubai in 2020.

UKTI are managing a visiting delegation from the UAE with three other GCC countries between 8-11 June and the details can be found at https://www.events.ukti.gov.uk/gulf-tour-to-the-uk-1/
